Diego Luna for Cream Magazine
This issue of Cream Magazine is focused on Mexico. It covers subjects going from its rich culture to an interview with Diego Luna. During such interview, The Fancy Archive had the opportunity of doing the styling.
Diego is difficult to describe, I do not know how to explain it. It is in his gaze, his walk, his speech, his love for the ordinary things of life. That sparkle in his eyes when he talks about things that move him. It is this thing that makes, not only me but Mexicans in general, feel close to him, like he is one of us, disregarding he is part of the mecca of the cinema: for all of us, he is still Diego Luna.
Who is Diego Luna?
It’s me basically; I find it hard to talk about myself. I am the father of Jeronimo and Fiona, son of Alexander. I like making films and living in Mexico. I like to tell and listen to stories. I’ve always been very curious about the stories of others, that’s why I like theater and cinema. I like what I do because I was part of the audience since very young age.
What is Mexico for you?
My love stories, my family, my referrals, the food I like the most, the place where I feel most comfortable. Also the place that worries me the most.
What do you want to leave to your children?
Freedom to choose where they want to be, what they want to do. Let them decide what they want their life to be like.
What would you say to Diego from twenty years ago?
Finish school, go to college, study something else, there is still time, time is never over ……
