Paola Alberdi is the Creative Director and Founder of the fashion platform Blank Itinerary. She grew up in San Diego, CA, where she graduated in International Business & Marketing. After college, she managed to get a great job as Brand Manager assistant at a company similar to P&G, where she learned the ins and outs of brand development and production. “Although I was very happy, there was something missing ”, Paola said; so she decided to pursue her dream and, using her marketing expertise, she launched her personal blog: Blank Itinerary. “Going little by little and using all my brand marketing expertise, I am happy to say that I can finally call my blog my job and most importantly, my passion”. Today she is collaborating with brands such as Lucky Brand, Giambattista Valli, Purificación García, 7 For All Mankind, and many more.
In her opinion, fashion and art have something in common: they both hold beauty in the eye of the beholder. She loves how fashion and style come down to people and their personal taste. “Yes, there are trends, but in the end we wear what we find appealing to the eye and body”.Read More
The book she has read more than twice is Outliers, and her favorite quote is: “The only competition you should have, is with yourself”. The 70s, the boho chic, and demin are styles that inspired her today.
A fun project that she recently discovered and strongly recommends is rewardStyle, “Amber, found a way to help bloggers monetize their blogs, which revolutionized the way fashion bloggers communicate with their audience. I recommend those who have a blog or website to visit rewardStyle.com and consider becoming part of it”.
Paola shared many stories with TFA, but one of her favorites was when she met Kelly Talamas, the Chief Editor of VOGUE Mexico and Latin America, in New York Fashion Week, last February. “I was leaving a show with a friend of mine, when we ran into her and she said hi. Not knowing who she was, I had a brief conversation with her about the next shows and about how we were battling the NYC cold. Moments after Kelly Talamas and Sarah Gore Reeves left, my friend, David, told me who she was. I was in shock, I chuckled and though about how crazy it is that everything happens for a reason and how sometimes its better not to know who you are talking to because you get to be yourself, nerves aside. Shortly after that encounter, I became one of Vogue’s Mexico and Latin America exclusive bloggers”.
The last track she listened on her iPod was “No Rest for the wicked”, by Lykke Li and she will never forget her first show in the New York Fashion Week. Paola has a fresh, cool and always clean and elegant style. Don’t miss her post at blankitenerary.com. She has a truly stylish way of dressing.
