Social media defines our era. It has become one of the most valuable sources within the fashion world. It’s through blogs, Instagram, Pinterest, and other platforms that the latest trends are one stop away from us.
Alejandra Canales and Gabriela Bustillos are the editors behind the fashion blog Morning Mode, an independent platform where exclusive fashion content is published. Besides collaborating with digital editorials such as noiselab, FAD and L’Officiel, they’ve also worked at print magazines of the likes of Loma Linda Editorials.
The editors are known within the industry for their expertise and far from ordinary styling work.
Their biggest achievement is coming up with a platform that produces rich content. But what drives them to take the blog to the next level is the opportunity of working alongside extraordinary personalities and being in a constant hunt for innovative spots, talents and concepts.
For them, character, self-confidence, and attitude is what defines a woman’s style. Some fashion icons of theirs are Dree Hemingway, Hannelim Mustaparta and Caroline De Maigret. Morning Mode was born through an idea that they both shared.
“Mo.Mo started from the idea of creating a way to support the Mexican fashion industry,” they said. They’ve created a community that impulses, communicates and updates their readers about innovative and solid projects.
The basics, simple and timeless pieces are a signature of their outfits and jeans and blazers are all over their closets. Their style is classy tomboy with an edgy touch.
The experts in fashion argue that oversized pieces, Phoebe Philo for Celine, the IN MY SKIN I WIN project, the naked trend in makeup and Isabel Marant’s inspirations are trends that define our time within fashion history.
The oldest piece Ale owns is a pair of Converse tennis shoes and the oldest piece of clothing Gaby has is a white cotton t-shirt by Sebastian Tellier for American Apparel. Authentic, extravagant, out of the ordinary and with enviable style, the Morning Mode editors share a new interpretation of fashion through their blog.
TFA is a huge fan of their work, their content and their statements that create a new perspective about the fashion industry, which we all should be aware of.
