The Simon sisters’ secret for success lies within their differences. In fact, having opposite personalities and character lead them to start a jewelry brand based on such duality. Duality exists not only between two people but within oneself; a person is allowed to have moments of strength and weakness, of certainty and doubt, of complexity and simplicity. Each design of PofM represents the volatility of the human mind.
But who are Paula and Maria Mercedes? Aside from being co founder of PofM, Maria launched her own brand of clothing in Colombia called Oroluna. Her main hobby is traveling throughout the world, for business as well as pleasure. Paula, the other co founder of PofM, is also devoted to traveling and is also a fan of photography.
The Simon sisters decided to start their own jewelry brand because they couldn’t easily find the right pieces for their everyday outfits. “Our intention is to create pieces that can adapt to every touchpoint of your day, from the office to happy hour. We are inspired by everyday activities which we turn into an accessory of your personality”, they said.
When we asked them what they like and get inspired by from Mexico, Paula confessed to be passionate about its colors, its people, and of course its food! Her favorite place is San Angel Inn restaurant. Maria is a super fan of the Mexican culture and loves to spend time in Los Cabos.
