Cynthia Buttenklepper is the founder and creative director of a fashion brand that carries her name. She began studying art in Monterrey but she moved to Barcelona a year later to study fashion design and styling.
In the past ten years, Cynthia has been everywhere. In addition to Barcelona, she lived in France for a year and worked as an assistant designer in Istanbul before moving back to Mexico to start her own ready to wear brand. Her best achievement is to be recognized and respected for doing what she loves. She told us that changing careers was one of her best life decisions.
For her, a woman with unique style is she who feels free and self-confident. What really drives her about her job is meeting and working with talented people and creating art through her designs.
Cynthia’s style depends entirely on her mood but it’s a requirement to always feel pretty and comfortable. She’s inspired by art deco, existentialism and freedom. The oldest pieces inside her closet are designs created by her great-grandfather who was a jewelry designer. She always thinks outside the box, and spontaneity is one of her strong characteristics. She has no idea what the next thing inside her wardrobe is going to be, but we’re sure she will style it amazingly.
The first thing she does every morning is taking a cup of coffee; she then walks her dog and thinks about something that makes her happy. Eclectic, authentic and definitely not scared to create trends, Cynthia has achieved to have everyone in the fashion industry expecting to see what her next design will be. Her main purpose: to offer high quality pieces that make women feel special.
The Fancy Archive is proud to share fashion designer Cynthia Buttenklepeer’s archive. She is one of a kind and a talent that will always exceed our expectations.
