During the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Mexico, designers Julia y Renata presented their Fall-Winter 2014 collection. It’s inspired by John Cage’s musical piece “Four minutes, thirty-three seconds.”
Silence was the runway’s main theme and the element that intertwined the collection. The color palette was mainly composed by dark hues like terracotta red, deep black, gold yellow and a strong grey.
Canvas and paper were key inspirational elements for the designers. They achieved to implement both textures using blended silk organza and wool chiffon. The volume, structure and amplitude seen on every piece deliver an authentic, timeless and spontaneous collection.
“It’s a collection designed for women who embrace who they are,” they said. “It’s for every woman who’s not scared to tell the world who she is and is also a trendsetter.”
